INTRODUCTION:

Although the pathology of the elbow is extensive the main reasons for presentation of a patient to the clinic for gradual onset of elbow pain are listed below

1. Tennis elbow or lateral epicondylitis
2. Golfer’s elbow or medial epicondylitis
3. Cubital tunnel syndrome – compression of the ulnar nerve around the elbow
4. Arthritis of the elbow
5. Osteochondritis dissecans of the elbow – seen in adolescents most frequently
